Making tea. One small step...to reconnecting with nature.
Instead of popping a pill from a plastic container (made by some multi-BILLION dollar corporation) try this simple act. Maybe you wake up from a long night of tossing and turning with a foggy brain, if you're in Central Texas, the solutions is probably in your front yard (or your neighbors): ROSEMARY.
Making a strong tea of rosemary leaves has the perfect combination of constituents to activate your mind and even relieve a headache in 4 easy steps:
- Fill a pot with a cup of water and start it to boil.
- Go outside, carefully run your hand along the rosemary plant and ask your new friend to help you wake up. Gently pluck a twig. (Or just grip and slide your fingers down a branch to pop off a handful of leaves.)
- Toss the twig or leaves into your now boiling water and let steep for 5 - 10 minutes.
- Strain, sip and feel the brain cells coming alive!
That conscious choice for a more subtle and balanced approach to your health will heal not only you but your family, community, and world.
